Former Bachelor Ben Higgins knows a thing or two about being a leading man. Though things didn’t work out between him and his ex-fiancée Lauren Bushnell, the Denver native is still thankful for the show.
And, while he and current Bachelor Colton Underwood are different in many ways, they also share a number of similarities. From both living in Denver to also being very handsome, it’s easy to see why they get compared to one another.
Ben recently opened up to Westword about the 27-year-old’s season and why he thinks it’s different from seasons in the past.
“I think it’s wholesome, which is something you don’t always get on the show,” Ben shared.
“It doesn’t maybe have the characters that we have on the show, but we have a lot of high-quality people competing”
He added, “He is so innocent and naive at times. A good example is when he kissed Heather for her very first kiss, it was drawn out and awkward.”
While Ben wasn’t a virgin when he was on the show, he doesn’t necessarily love the fact that it’s become such a topic of discussion.

“It makes it seem like something is wrong with him. It hasn’t really explicitly said that it’s okay that he’s made that choice; instead, they’ve made it a really big deal and it sometimes comes off like it’s a bad thing,” Ben said.
“I think that it might not be sending the best message to the people who watch, especially a lot of the younger viewers.”
As for Ben, it sounds like he has jumped into a new relationship, but we still don’t publically know who the lucky lady is.
However, a few fans did a bit of sleuthing and think the girl he is dating is none other than Jessica Clarke from Nashville!
Only time will tell if Jessica is actually Ben’s new girlfriend!
