Former Bachelor star Bekah Martinez is celebrating her daughter Ruthie’s one-month birthday! The reality star took to Instagram to share a sweet photo of her little girl and give fans an update on her growth over the past four weeks.
“Can’t believe what a beautiful little girl we have. Also can’t believe we’ve successfully survived 28 nights with a newborn,” she captioned the photo on Saturday, March 2.
The 24-year-old welcomed her first daughter with boyfriend Grayston Leonard on February 2 and announced the arrival with a photo of her water birth.
“On the morning of February 2nd, our little girl joined us earth-side and we will never be the same. We are all as healthy and happy as can be,” she captioned the photo.
It took Martinez and Leonard about a week to decide on a name for their little girl, but they finally revealed her name — Ruthie Ray — on February 8.
“Introducing… Ruth Ray De La Luz Leonard (aka Ruthie Ray). Ruth = Grayston’s grandmother’s name, and one of my favorite biblical stories. Hebrew for friend or companion,” she wrote.

“Ray = …Because Ruthie Ray is too damn cute. De La Luz= My dad’s middle name. Spanish for ‘of the light’. A tribute to my Mexican heritage. Leonard = Her Daddy’s last name.”
Martinez has been open with fans about postpartum life and even urged people to stop encouraging women to get back to their pre-baby weight.
“Let’s stop saying moms are ‘lucky’ to get their pre-baby bods back. ‘Lucky’ is getting the opportunity to carry a child within you. ‘Lucky’ is having a healthy baby,” she wrote on Instagram.
“‘Lucky’ is watching your body change after bringing new life into the world, not squeezing into your old high-waisted jeans a week after giving birth. My face is swollen, I’m wearing a diaper, and my belly hangs over my sweats.”
