Former Bachelorette star Chad Johnson is setting the record straight regarding those romance rumors with Kendra Wilkinson.
In fact, the 31-year-old explained why he and the Girls Next Door star were caught holding hands following a dinner they had a couple of weeks ago.
“I was kind of being weird about it because I was like ‘f—k it, let’s have some fun with this.’ That was for a video we were doing,” he told Life & Style.
“It’s for Barstool Sports — it’s for a funny skit. What you’re missing there is I actually did get her number and we plan on going out.”
He continued, “Everyone’s like ‘oh are you dating now?’ And I’m like ‘I don’t know how to answer that because yeah it started as a skit but yeah we’re planning on hanging out.”
However, Kendra has shot down the romance rumors before, so we’re not exactly sure who to believe.
In fact, the mother of two shared an Instagram post recently and explained that she’s not seeing anybody at the moment.

“We had a lot to catch up on after about 2 days of her being MIA,” she captioned a photo of herself with a pal.
“Filled her in about these recent annoying rumors and how my vagina is still very closed up. Anyways, beautiful day with my love. Always a breath of fresh air.”
While it’s unclear if Kendra is interested in Chad, the Bachelor in Paradise villain definitely thinks she’s his type.
“I mean she’s exactly my type, you know. Blonde girls like that. She has that exact look I go for and she was super cool. We actually had a really good time,” he said.
Though some people truly believe this is all a PR stunt, it does seem as though Chad is interested in dating Kendra. To be continued!
