Former Bachelorette star Desiree Hartsock amazingly gave birth to her second child, Zander, at home!

The reality star alum and her husband Chris Siegfried, who she met on her season of The Bachelorette, recently opened up to Us Weekly about why they decided to have a home birth.

“[We] got to watch the sunrise from our bedroom while he was being delivered,” Chris shared.

Des added, “While Zander was rising.”

The 32-year-old’s labor and delivery went smoothly.

“It actually went very well. … It was five-and-a-half hours, so pretty short. … It was actually really another great experience,” she explained.

“I think it was even better this time around just because you’re at home. It was just like, I don’t know, pretty manageable.”

Des also gushed about her first son, 2-year-old Asher, and how he’s been handling his role as big brother.

“He’s up at, like, 5:15 every morning, so I go down and get him. And he’s always like, ‘Mom? Baby?’” the mother of two shared.

“And then he wants to go upstairs and see [him], but then it’s more just to, like, see [him] and then he’s like, ‘All right, see ya.’ And then he goes back downstairs.”

Chris added, “The funny thing is he just pops in to make sure that he’s there.”

Des is also extremely thankful for Chris, who has taken care of Asher while she finds time to rest and recover.

“Chris has been a champ,” she said.

Des also recently shared an adorable family photo on Instagram, writing, “Thank you all for the kind messages, comments and wishes this past week!”

She continued, “The adjustment has been wonderful and Zander is literally the most chill babe ever! Thank the good Lord because mama needs it!”
