Bachelor in Paradise star Ashley Iaconetti isn’t getting married to Jared Haibon until August 2019, but she is in full planning mode!
The bride-to-be opened up to Cosmopolitan about what she’s looking forward to on their special day and what it was like to get engaged on Bachelor in Paradise this summer.
“We took the first two months of our engagement just to enjoy being engaged without planning a thing. I was shocked how within a week of Jared popping the question people were already asking if we had set a date or booked a venue yet,” Ashley revealed.
“I had a ton of photographers and designers emailing me about my dress, my bridesmaids dresses, photoshoots, invitations, and way, way more.”
Though fans want them to get married on television, Ashley explained the couple was never really interested in that.
“Jared and I always imagined being surrounded by all our family and friends, a grand ballroom, romantic lighting, and a twirling princess dress, so we never really entertained the idea of a Paradise wedding,” she shared.
“Plus, after Jared had to choose to propose in the presence of my ex-boyfriend or not propose on the beach we met on at all, we figured it’s best that our wedding is totally in our control.”

And, because they are both romantics at heart, they are looking forward to their wedding being all about love.
“Jared and I live for dramatic romance. I mean, we reenact scenes from The Notebook and Titanic *for fun.* So we’re going with the church, the ballroom, the lush floral centerpieces, and Phantom chandeliers, like I’ve always dreamed,” she said.
“That’s why Jared and I are crafting our wedding to be more of a romantic experience, less of a party.”
She continued, “Ballroom dancing is the only kind that excites me and I’ve never even seen Jared drunk in the more than three years that I’ve known him.”
