After weeks and weeks of anticipation, Bachelor star Colton Underwood finally jumped the fence and it was everything we could’ve hoped for and so much more.
The drama began during last night’s episode when frontrunner Cassie Randolph decided to suddenly leave the competition.
It was an incredibly emotional moment for Underwood, who publicly declared his love for Randolph, but it wasn’t enough.
Though Tayshia Adams and Hannah Godwin, the other two women left in the show, have told Underwood they’re falling in love, Randolph told the 27-year-old that she’s not in love with him.
This breakup crushed Underwood so much that he decided to run away and jump that incredibly high fence.
Needless to say, the moment was shocking for host Chris Harrison.

“I told him, ‘What are you, Liam Neeson? You’re gonna go to the Embassy?’ He said, ‘Well, I grabbed my wallet.’ I’m like, ‘You don’t have a phone, you don’t have a passport, where are you going?’ But he was just done, and I think that was the whole point,” Chris told Entertainment Tonight.
“He finally thought he figured this whole thing out and figured out that he loves Cassie and this is it, and then Cassie realized his greatest fear and crushed him.”
He continued, “He just kind of broke and snapped and he was done. I don’t think I realized the severity of it until I was trying to walk after him.”
Underwood said that he ran away for quite some time and that Harrison had to run after him.
“I was gone for quite a bit. Chris was chasing after me trying to find me. I just needed to get away,” he spilled.
“I needed time and I think I realized I wanted I wanted to just be to myself and just sit in that moment by myself and realize what’s best for me as a human being. [I had to figure out] what do I need next.”
