Former Bachelor star Amanda Stanton is defending her decision to allow her 6-year-old daughter, Kinsley, to have a phone.

Amanda received some backlash after it was revealed that her little girl has her own phone, but don’t worry, she has a great reason!

In fact, it’s all because Kinsley spends time with her father — who is no longer with Amanda — and the 28-year-old wants to be able to reach her.

“She visits with her dad and I like to be able to call and FaceTime her and Charlie without having to call him,” she explained on Monday.

“She knows she can always call me if she needs anything.”

She continued, “I limit her time on it at home. Otherwise she’d watch YouTube 24/7.”

The Bachelor in Paradise star also explained she has a hard time parenting her girls because she wants them to be safe.

“I know I want to let them be themselves and experience life and not be too overbearing. But I’m terrified,” she said.

“I don’t ever want them to drive!!!!! I’ll drive them around til they’re 30. It scares the crap out of me. So we’ll see.”

This comes a few months after Amanda was arrested for domestic violence following a fight with her boyfriend Bobby Jacobs in Las Vegas.

Do you think it’s OK for Amanda’s daughter to have a phone? Let us know your thoughts!
