On Days Of Our Lives (DOOL), Rafe is engaged to Hope. He’s happy and excited and wants to set a wedding date as soon as possible. Hope is… uhm… busy. Lots of crime in Salem. Lots. Of. Crime.
Meanwhile, who should blow back into town but Rafe’s ex, Sami (Alison Sweeney)? Sami is looking for Will (Chandler Massey). Sami needs Rafe’s help. Rafe (Galen Gering) is here to protect and serve!

Sami is back in Salem, and suddenly Rafe isn’t so grumpy anymore. He’s smiling. He’s joking. He’s detective-ing. Sami was always the best at making Rafe interesting, rave 42% of you, and she’s the woman he should be with for the long haul.
If that means Rafe leaving town with Sami when she inevitably takes off again… yeah, you can live with that.
You Gotta Have Hope!
Sami is trouble. Sami is selfish. Sami is a lunatic. And she’s still hung up on her maybe dead husband, EJ. Not to say that Hope isn’t still hung up on her dead husband, Bo. But she’s more low-key about it. And she is less likely to get Rafe stripped of his badge. For those reasons alone, 36% of the audience prefers ROPE to SAME.

Think Outside the Box
Hope and Sami aren’t the only game in town, remind 21%. Look around, Rafe, find someone new. How about Eve (Kassie DePaiva)? She’s got Sami’s scheming, and Hope’s sense of adventure.
Oh, and if there is one thing you can be sure of, it’s that Eve is not hung up on her late husband, Deimos (Vincent Irizarry), AT ALL. (Though the finality of his death is, as with everyone in Salem, forever a question mark.)
