Abigail has been forced to do some incredible things to protect Chad from her new husband on Days of Our Lives (DOOL). But will she end up having to give her own life to protect him?
It sure seems that way according to the Aug. 7 issue of Soap Opera Digest. Someone is looking to run over Dario (Jordi Vilasuso) but they’re about to hit Chad, so what happens next shocks everyone.
Marci Miller (Abby) tells the magazine, “She doesn’t even think. It’s just all of her instincts react in a physical way to save him and his life.”
Abby is hit head-on by the car and is taken to the hospital where she’s in horrible condition, teetering on the edge. Of course, Chad (Billy Flynn) won’t leave her side. People start to fill him in on everything Abigail has been doing, and the pieces fall into place.
Flynn tells Digest, “Chad realizes that everything Abigail did was to protect him, which hits him harder.”

Needless to say, it opens his eyes to a lot of things about his ex-wife and he intends to stick by her for as long as he can.
That might be in jeopardy after he finds out about the photo Dario has of him. Chad and Sonny (Freddie Smith) are very good friends, and an honorable Chad can’t sit by and let him take responsibility for something that it looks like he might have done.
While he cares about Sonny a great deal, will Chad give himself up before Abby is out of the woods? After all, would he ever be able to forgive himself if something happens to her and he wasn’t there by her side?
And what about Gabi (Camila Banus)? How will she react when she finds everything out? Stay tuned.
