Sure she’s dead. Hello?!? She’s Stefano’s (AKA The Phoenix!) daughter, and she’s yet to return from the dead on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) — so isn’t it about time?
Stefano has these petty little sons who are now left to try to continue his legacy. Chad (Billy Flynn) is Dudley Do-Right — hardly a fitting heir to the diabolical mastermind that tormented Salem for decades! Stefan (Tyler Christopher) shows promise, but he’s such a mama’s boy at this point.
But once upon a time (okay, back in the mid-80s), Stefano had a deliciously twisted daughter who tormented Hope (Kristian Alfonso) because she was obsessed with Bo (Peter Reckell). Megan Hathaway DiMera (Miranda Wilson–but back then went by Cheryl Ann Wilson) was poised to follow in her daddy’s footsteps.
That is — until she had a head-on collision with a wall and a hot tub moment that could shock yo, courtesy of Larry Welch! It was an unexpected end to a reign of terror that held so much potential.
It wouldn’t have been hard for Stefano to retrieve her body for safe keeping until Dr. Rolf could work his magic! So she could return to town now and learn her beloved Bo is dead and Hope has moved on! A devastated Megan would want revenge against her former rival, blaming her for Bo’s death!
You have to admit, it hardly feels like Salem without a vengeful DiMera seeking to torture a Brady (or Horton), and back-from-the-dead with an ax to grind Megan could be just the ticket to spicing up Hope’s life!
And let’s face it — her life REALLY needs a jumpstart. This is not the Hope Brady we know and love, living a calm life and being fooled by her man. She deserves better — and so do we.
Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
