Days of our Lives fans can’t help but root for Victoria Konefal and her portrayal of Ciara Brady, the daughter of beloved supercouple Bo and Hope, as she tries to find herself and falls deeper in love with Ben. The actress is also incredible off-screen as she recently walked the walk in her support for the Alzheimer’s Association.

Victoria Konefal Honors Her Grandmother

Just like Ciara loved her late grandmother Caroline, Konefal showed she loved her late grandmother just as fiercely when she posted a tribute to her on Instagram — and how she honored her recently.

“THANK YOU @alzassociation for inviting me to participate in the “Walk to End Alzheimer’s”. I lost my grandmother to Alzheimer’s a couple of years ago, so this cause is very special to me.”

A Special Day for Days of our Lives Star
The whole experience of attending the walk truly affected the young star, especially the way actress and Alzheimer’s spokesperson Nikki DeLoach inspired those in attendance at the event.

“@nikdeloach You brought me to tears with your speech, and the white flower representing the future of the first survivor sent chills throughout the bones of the entire audience. I’m so proud of you.”

Learning More

Events like the Walk to End Alzheimer’s isn’t just about the actual act of walking or even raising money. It’s also about educating people about everything the organization is doing to make things better and Konefal shared that this one hit it out of the park on that front — and Victoria Konefal hopes others follow her lead.

“According to what I learned today, more than 50% of Americans know someone who is suffering from Alzheimer’s/another form of dementia. I also learned that women are TWO THIRDS more likely to develop a neurocognitive disorder than men. Check online to see if there is a walk coming up near you! #walktoendalzheimers #walktoendalz” Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
