It looks like reports of Ciara Brady’s death may have been greatly exaggerated because according to published reports, Victoria Konefal is returning to Days of our Lives — and not as a ghost this time!
Victoria Konefal Returns
According to the February 1, 2021 issue of Soap Opera Digest, Konefal is returning to the character of Ciara — and not as a ghost — beginning January 28. This is incredibly exciting news for CIN fans, who have been trying to hold onto hope that their favorite couple would get to reunite for real and not just in his mourning-filled dreams.
Details on her return are slim so pretty much anything can happen. Is this the beginning of a mystery in which Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) has to try to find his beloved and we don’t see much of her? It did say “beginning,” which implies there’s more to come. Of course, this leaves one giant question unanswered — what about Ciara’s mom, Hope?
Kristian Alfonso made huge news last year when it was announced she would not be returning to her signature role of Hope Williams Brady when the show returned last September after the coronavirus pandemic shut down production of the NBC soap.
In order to explain her disappearance, it was said that Hope is off trying to find her daughter because she refused to believe that she was dead. So if Ciara does turn up — does anyone have Hope on speed dial to let her know that her daughter is indeed alive? And if they do address it, could a recast Hope be who returns next? Or even better, could Alfonso be talked into returning?
That could complicate any relationship that Rafe (Galen Gering) may be in at that point. Of course, Soap Hub is jumping the gun here. It’s time to celebrate the return of at least one beloved Brady — and the hopeful reunion of a CIN. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
