With Ciara returning to Salem and Days of Our Lives (DOOL) this week, we know she’ll need to have a love interest soon or this isn’t a soap opera.
We know Kyler Pettis is leaving the show (with Theo still alive, phew), so picking up that old romance is out of the question and how many other young men are even around for her to date?
Right now, unless someone brand-new is introduced soon, Tripp seems like the only option. But, can this work or will it just be dredging up the past–with someone else in the male role?

Tripp is a nice enough guy after he got over needing revenge on Kayla and feeling remorse for that whole ordeal. The two don’t really know each other, but they will probably get to know each other super fast since Salem is a pretty small town.

However, the other 46% of you will feel like you’re watching a re-run with nearly all the same players. Once Theo is gone, Claire will need someone new too and she and Tripp already feel an attraction to one another.
If Ciara is brought into the situation, it just becomes the Claire/Theo/Ciara triangle rehashed with a new guy. You want to see the best friends (who double as aunt and niece) get along with each other better this time around and not become enemies over another guy.
