Days of Our Lives (DOOL) star Camila Banus recently revealed who she’s rooting for in the Paul/Will/Sonny triangle.
Banus was sharing a joint live streamed Peirscope event with Freddie Smith (Sonny), and when the question was asked of her, she didn’t hedge or try to deflect like so many actors might do. She jumped right in and proclaimed the couple she thinks should make it.
“I think Will needs to be with Sonny. That’s just what I think,” she said, with Smith agreeing. “I get it, the new love. I get the new, different thing, he doesn’t remember and everything… that’s the love.”
Smith tried to give some context for Sonny’s reasoning. “Paul is his first love, and Will is his soulmate — is how I always like to describe it. So they’re both very big.”

Banus reacted that since she and the audience didn’t get to see Sonny and Paul (it happened off-camera) the first time, she isn’t as invested. She made sure to state that was just her opinion as a viewer but it does make a lot of sense as to why the pull for WilSon in the fan communities remains so strong.
Smith was quick to point out that there are a lot of fans who are rooting for Horita (Will and Paul) as well, and he loves the fact that they’ve created a triangle that has fans rooting for different combinations.
The two actors spoke about other things as well, like their favorite scene they did together, their first impressions of each other, their current favorite song (Banus actually starts to groove when singing hers), and more. You can see their entire video above.
