Daytime met nighttime last night when Bill Hayes (Doug, Days of Our Lives) made an impromptu appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
It all came about when Hayes, his wife Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie) and their grandson, David Samuel, got tickets to attend a taping of the late night gab fest.
During a commercial break, Fallon went into the audience to greet attendees, and that’s when Samuel introduced Fallon to his famous granddad, telling him that Bill Hayes had appeared on past incarnations of The Tonight Show when Jack Parr and Johnny Carson were the program’s hosts.

Fallon decided to invite Hayes to be an impromptu guest on his show and included him in the rest of the program!
