Days of our Lives sneak peek photos for July 29 reveal EJ has a couple of new problems on his hands, thanks to Rafe and Susan. Lexie puts together a surprise family celebration as she prepares to leave town, and that’s just the beginning of what’s going on in Salem.

Leo Rallies The Troops For Gwen
Several of the sneak peek photos for DAYS reveal that Leo (Greg Rikaart) shows up at the Hernandez house in need of help. Leo seeks out Rafe (Galen Gering) in his desperate search to find Gwen (Emily O’Brien). Two of the pictures feature Leo pleading his case to Rafe.
Javi (Jacob Martinez) and Gus (Michael Ocampo) also land in the mix during Leo’s visit. Things are uncomfortable at best with the three of them in one photo, while another shows Gus and Javi looking at each other intently.
There are also photos of Leo alone in his hotel room and in Horton Town Square. Leo is on the phone in each image, looking unhappy with what he learns on both calls.
EJ Has His Hands Full With Susan and Rafe
DAYS spoilers reveal that Susan (Stacy Haiduk) gets Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) vibes from EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel). Susan appears to have one of her psychic moments as she moves around the DiMera mansion in a couple of the sneak peek pictures.
One photo shows EJ having an intense conversation with his mother. In fact, Susan looks as if she is in fighting mode by the way she is standing and facing her son. If anyone knows when EJ is up to no good, it’s Susan.
Things go from bad to worse for EJ when he gets a surprise visit from Rafe. Susan is charmed by Rafe, who kisses her hand upon seeing her back in town. Rafe seems to get an earful from Susan, too, as EJ looks on.
One Last Christmas for The Carver Family
Several photos feature Lexie (Nikki Crawford), Abe (James Reynolds), and Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews). In a few of the images, Theo and Abe appear skeptical of Lexie’s behavior.
It appears Lexie sends them out on an errand because Abe and Theo have a conversation in Horton Town Square. When they arrive back home, they are surprised to see she has decorated the apartment for Christmas. They are clearly shocked but go along with the celebration.
In the sneak peeks of the Christmas festivities, there is a lot of emotion. Clearly, Theo and Abe are concerned; they just want to be in the moment with Lexie.
Several touching photos in the sneak peeks hint that fans should be ready for an emotional rollercoaster from these three. That was also evident in the DAYS preview video as Lexie and Abe express their love for each other.
Johnny and Chanel Enjoy Family Time
The Carvers aren’t the only ones doing some family bonding. Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Johnny (Carson Boatman) spend quality time with Trey (Joseph Ihlenf and Jordan Perdue).
Many of the sneak peek photos feature them gushing over their son. Chanel can be seen reading to Trey in a photo, while Johnny gets a phone call that has him looking intense as he holds his very happy baby boy.
Javi shows up to spend time with Trey. It looks like he may give Johnny and Chanel a little break since he’s standing holding Trey’s stroller as if he is about to leave with the little guy.
Adding fuel to that theory is that Chanel and Johnny do a little cuddling on the couch alone. There’s also a solo image of Chanel giving someone a look.
