Playing the Waiting Game
The August 14 episode of DAYS ended with Chanel (Raven Bowens) telling Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Paulina (Jackée Harry) that she was in labor. Chanel had been having pains but had chalked them up to Braxton Hicks.
It turns out the pains were the real deal. Several of the sneak peek photos for the hit Peacock soap show Johnny and Chanel at the hospital.
Chanel’s clearly having labor pains in one photo with Johnny by her side. When she’s not screaming in pain, Johnny and Chanel get some alone time. It’s smiles all around for the couple in two of the pictures.
However, one image shows Chanel with a very worried and concerned look on her face. Chanel has been through a lot with the pregnancy and cancer, so her fear is valid.
Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) can be seen in another photo checking Chanel’s labor progress, while Johnny and Paulina stand by for an update. Lani (Sal Stowers) arrives with a gift: a onesie for Trey (Joseph Ihlenf and Jordan Perdue) that says he’s a big brother now.
Another image shows Chanel breathing through the pain as Paulina looks like she’s screaming, while Lani seems to comfort her. Could she have found out the truth about Lexie (Nikki Crawford), or does something go wrong with Chanel?

The rest of the sneak peek photos focus on Rafe (Galen Gering) and Gwen (Emily O’Brien) at the Salem PD. It’s time for Gwen to hold up her end of the deal and turn on EJ (Dan Feuerriegel).
Gwen appears to be a bundle of nerves in one photo where she talks to Rafe. Other sneak peeks reveal that Jada (Elia Cantu) gets thrown into the mix, and Gwen is freaked out in those, too.
She is no doubt worried about testifying against EJ, but also, Gwen wasn’t happy to leave her best friend, Leo (Greg Rikaart), alone in Alamainia with Dimitri (Peter Porte). The only reason Leo was there was because of her. Returning to Salem without him doesn’t sit well with Gwen, as she already told Rafe.
Gwen manages to get a moment alone, which she uses to look out the window, almost as if she has come up with a new brilliant idea. There is also an image of Javi (Jacob Martinez) learning that Rafe is back as they talk in the kitchen at the Hernandez house.
Wonder what Javi will say when he learns that Rafe left Leo behind to fend for himself, all in the name of sticking it to EJ?
