Key Takeaways
- Kristen and Rachel share an emotional reunion, but Brady puts his foot down.
- Steve surprises Cat with his understanding.
- EJ learns that Johnny fired O’Halloran, while Kayla is glad to be rid of EJ.
Kristen Finally Gets Her Reunion With Rachel, but Brady Has Had Enough
Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) has never been particularly good at following rules, especially when those rules keep her away from Rachel (Lorelei Olivia Mote). After Rachel’s emergency surgery, Kristen was determined to see her daughter, even if that meant sneaking into the hospital.
Now, mother and daughter finally share an emotional reunion. Rachel has been asking for Kristen, so there’s little doubt that seeing her mother will mean a great deal to her.
Unfortunately, Brady (Eric Martsolf) has some serious concerns about Kristen’s involvement in their daughter’s life. He was the one who contacted Kristen about Rachel’s condition, but that doesn’t mean he’s forgotten everything she’s done.
Brady puts his foot down. Will Kristen respect his boundaries, or will she decide that nobody gets to tell her how to be a mother?
Steve Surprises Cat With Understanding Instead of Suspicion
Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) has been keeping some pretty significant secrets, including her involvement with the ISA. Her relationship with EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) has only made things more complicated, especially now that her former boss knows she wasn’t entirely honest with him.
Steve (Stephen Nichols) certainly knows a thing or two about dangerous assignments and keeping secrets. He’s also been investigating the mystery surrounding Dominic Marino.
That’s why his reaction to Cat could be especially interesting. Rather than giving her another lecture, Steve surprises her with his understanding. Could having someone who understands her position make things a little easier for Cat? She could certainly use an ally.
EJ Learns Johnny Fired O’Halloran as Kayla Celebrates His Exit
EJ is accustomed to making the decisions, so he probably won’t appreciate learning that Johnny (Carson Boatman) has made one without consulting him.
George O’Halloran (Michael Rose) informs EJ that Johnny fired him. Considering the tension between father and son over the tainted drugs on Smith Island, another disagreement probably isn’t what either man needs.
Meanwhile, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) is delighted to be rid of EJ. Given his talent for making other people’s lives difficult, it’s hard to blame her.
But EJ isn’t exactly known for accepting situations he doesn’t like. Will he leave things alone, or find another reason to make his presence felt?
