Days of our Lives spoilers for Thursday, July 30, find Alex and Joy retreating to their separate corners, as Alex assures Stephanie of something she doesn’t even want, and Joy turns to Belle for legal help.
Key Takeaways
- Alex and Joy fight over Kelsey’s future.
- Rachel comes home.
- Philip gets a shock from Gabi.
Alex and Joy’s Custody Battle Takes Another Turn
Kelsey is now legally a Kiriakis! And she has a new name! Kelsey Adrienne Kiriakis! (We think it’s awfully sweet of Alex to name his daughter after the woman who raised and loved him like he was her own, but we have to wonder — what was Kelsey’s original middle name? We’re happy that she is no longer Kelsey Wesley, but did Nancy [Patrika Darbo] get bumped from the middle name place of honor? Or Chloe [Nadia Bjorlin]?)
But when it came time to sign papers regarding who would get Kelsey in the case of Joy’s (AlexAnn Hopkins) death, Joy made it clear she would sign nothing that allowed Stephanie (Abigail Klein) to raise her daughter. Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) blew up and reassured Stephanie he would never allow that to happen.
As we wonder: Would Stephanie WANT to raise Kelsey? Sounds like she and Joy are on the same page. Maybe Joy won’t need Belle’s (Martha Madison) help, after all.
Rachel’s Homecoming Brings the Black Family Together
Rachel (Lorelei Olivia Mote) is finally home from Bayview. She is no longer crazy! Brady (Eric Martsolf) and the rest of her family celebrate. The Black side of her family, at least.
But where are the DiMeras? Are they too busy trying to screw over each other to celebrate that one of theirs is no longer homicidal? For now….
Gabi Rethinks Her Accusation Against Philip
Talking to Ari (Vico Escorcia) made Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) realize that Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) probably isn’t responsible for stealing and counterfeiting her designs. So she apologizes.
The two have been close to reconnecting lately. Is this just what they need to let bygones be bygones?
