Now that Marlena is back from the dead yet again, DAYS spoilers tease that she and John are ready for their next adventure. It seems like they’ve been through everything. They’ve both been resurrected. They’ve had children together and children apart. They’ve been on adventures, and they’ve stayed at home to savor their strawberries and cream. So what’s next for the happily reunited couple?
DAYS Spoilers Speculation: Back To Before
Celebrating Deidre Hall’s 5,000th episode in Salem led to some great flashbacks, which reminded viewers that Marlena was an awesome psychiatrist. She’s helped everyone from an amnesiac Mickey (John Clarke) to a serial-killing Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) to a random suicidal kid.
And look at what she did for John (Drake Hogysten)! She helped him remember that he was Roman! And then she helped him remember that he wasn’t Roman (Josh Taylor)! She brought him back from being Robo-John, and she’s helped keep him sane throughout all of his multiple identities. Our point is, Marlena is a really good doctor. She should do more of that.
Days of our Lives: Group Project
Marlena and John also make a great team. And have we got something important for them to work on together: Rachel (Finley Rose Slater). The Devil Child. She’s as mentally messed up as Mickey, and, at the rate she’s going, she’s on a direct trajectory to end up like the kid on the ledge…or a serial killer.
DAYS Spoilers: Through the Years
The only thing Rachel has going for her is that her father, Brady (Eric Martsolf), isn’t giving up on her. And that Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) hasn’t gotten around to turning Rachel against John and Marlena yet. Rachel still loves her grandparents. Which is where Marlena can use her professional credentials, and John can use his eyebrow-based charm to lure Rachel back from the dark side.
