DAYS spoilers sure seem to be broadcasting the end of Shawn and Belle’s marriage — yet again. Shawn has been acting out for weeks, drinking, whining, and pushing Belle away.

Of course, now that Belle (Martha Madison) knows Shawn (Brandon Beemer) slept with Talia (Aketra Sevellian), Belle is long past the forgive-and-forget stage. This may be the end of the road for these high school sweethearts.
Days of our Lives: Settle Down
It’s a bit much to expect Belle to cool off and listen to what Shawn is telling her. It was a one-off thing. He has no feelings for Talia, he’s sorry, and, oh, yeah, it’s not like Belle hasn’t cheated in the past. Remember Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier)? Remember EJ (Dan Feuerriegel)? Remember her professor? Shawn moved past all those betrayals. Why can’t his wife do the same?
DAYS: Not My Style
Because that’s just not how Belle rolls, that’s why. She was willing to forgive Shawn for sleeping with Jan (Heather Lindell). But that’s because the Devil made her look like Belle at the time. (These things happen, especially in Salem.) She was even willing to overlook Jan’s baby — especially when it turned out not to be Shawn’s, after all. But that’s about as far as Belle will go. Devil possession? OK. But good old-fashioned drunken stupidity? Sorry, that’s not a Get Out of Jail Free card.
DAYS Spoilers: The Last Dance
This isn’t Belle and Shawn’s first make-up/break-up rodeo. And it won’t be the last. When we said they were high school sweethearts, we didn’t mean they’d been together all that time since. Belle spent some time married to Philip, and there was even a question of Claire’s paternity. And yet, they managed to get past those obstacles. They’ll manage to get past these. But not right away. Both will stomp off in a huff. And then they’ll slowly creep back together.
