What’s a jilted bride to do when her husband is shot and in the hospital? Gwen (Emily O’Brien) does her wifely duties by showing up for Dimitri (Peter Porte), but it’s clear she’s not happy to be there. In fact, her indifference seems to take several people by surprise, including Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and Detective Jada (Elia Cantu).
Don’t worry, though. Dimitri will get support from his lover. Leo (Greg Rikaart) makes a beeline for his man, Gwen be damned! It even looks like he stands up for his love when Gwen reins down hellfire on her husband.
Speaking of Jada, she’ll pop by the DiMera mansion to get the lowdown on what happened. Gabi (Camila Banus) and Stefan (Brandon Barash) are more than happy to squawk like birds, but are they telling the truth? Whose gun are they actually handing over?
As for the shooter herself, Vivian (Louise Sorel) doesn’t duck and hide from Jada. She stands her ground and tells it like it is (or at least her version). However, it seems like that’s not enough because before long, she’s donning a disguise and looking for a way out of town.
Meanwhile, drama unfolds at Titan when Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) stakes his claim. How will Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) feel when he takes over her top spot? All she can do is go home and mourn not only the loss of her husband but her part in his legacy.
At the same time, Marlena (Deidre Hall) checks in with Kate (Lauren Koslow) at the pub. The women have a whole lot to talk about and much to catch up on.
Also, Theresa (Emily O’Brien) returns to Salem. What is she up to? Bet it won’t take her long to check in on Alex.
