Days of our Lives spoilers for Friday, August 21, cap off the week with Jada firing questions at EJ — that nobody else was willing to answer. Plus, Chanel’s labor takes a turn for the worse.
Key Takeaways
- Jada cross-examines EJ.
- Chanel’s baby is in danger.
- Lani remembers her own son’s loss.
- Abe and Theo face Lexie’s end.
Jada Finally Takes Her Questions Straight to EJ
Rafe (Galen Gering) and Jada (Elia Cantu) have been cross-examing everybody: Dimitri (Peter Porte), Leo (Greg Rikaart), and Gwen (Emily O’Brien) about EJ (Dan Feuerriegel). None of them are giving them the answers they want.
So Jada decides to go straight to the source, and actually question EJ. If Dimitri, Leo and Gwen refused to incriminate him — for reasons having little to do with protecting EJ — then does Jada really think EJ will incriminate EJ?
Chanel and Her Baby Face a Terrifying Turn
Chanel (Raven Bowens) has been in labor — off-camera — for several days now. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) claims Chanel can’t have an epidural. Because her weakened body, from chemo, is more at risk from a spinal block than from hours of stressful and painful labor?
Johnny (Carson Boatman) said, “That’s OK.” Probably because he’s not the one in labor. But now, Chanel’s health is in danger, as is the health of her unborn baby.
Chanel’s Crisis Reopens Lani’s Most Painful Loss
With her half-sister in crisis, Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) can’t help but recall losing their newborn, David Abraham, at birth.
At the same time, Abe (James Reynolds) and Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) are praying for Lexie (Nikki Campbell) to pull through and not die — again. Will her death somehow lead to a saved life for Chanel and Johnny’s little one?
If so, then we’re even more convinced that “Alexandra” will somehow find its way into the newest Kiriakis heir’s name. Will Lexie make another heavenly visit, like she did when Paulina was at risk of dying?
