A Martinez has been wowing soap fans off and on since 1984 when he created the role of Cruz Castillo on the NBC soap opera, Santa Barbara. In fact, he became half of one of the most popular soap supercouples of all time, Cruz and Eden.
An A Martinez Birthday Wish
Now, the soap vet, who last appeared as Eduardo Hernandez on Days of Our Lives from 2015-2017, has a beautiful birthday wish for his daughter Devon. The Young and the Restless fans will remember the young actress as Shawn Taylor, a young pregnant woman in 2016.

She is a shining light in my life and has been since the moment she arrived — landing with the smoothest numbers on 6-7-89 — the family’s only native New Yorker. As YR fans may recall, after Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sage (Kelly Sullivan) thought they lost Christian (who was known as Sully at the time and living with Sharon and Dylan), they considered adopting a baby, and Shawn was willing to give her baby to the pair. While she only appeared for 13 episodes, they were definitely memorable and Shawn eventually decided to keep her child.
