Roman (Josh Taylor) asked Kate (Lauren Koslow) if she set up Johnny (Carson Boatman, who spoke to Soap Hub about what’s next). Kate denied. Roman asked again. Kate denied again. Johnny admitted to Roman that he had no proof his step-grandma had taken advantage of Johnny’s stupidity, and that she had sued him for enough money to save Titan (because book publishing is a hugely profitable business). We don’t blame Roman for smelling something fishy in Kate’s denials. But, really, what did he expect? Roman knew who Kate was when he married her. He knew what she was capable of. He knew how she’d covered for Lucas (Bryan Datillo) and Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) whenever one of her boys committed a crime. (Rex [Kyle Lowder], too.) And he knew how she’d thrown Roman’s daughter, Sami (Alison Sweeney), under a bus, in order to make that happen. So why would he think she’d keep her distance from Johnny?

And why is Roman surprised every time Kate does something… Kate-like? At this point, he either needs to let it go and accept that’s who his wife is, or end things once and for all. Stop waffling, man! Make a decision! You’ll be happier. And your family might even be safer. After all, if Kate isn’t connected to the Bradys anymore, maybe she’ll leave them alone.
