Forever and a Day
Xander (Paul Telfer) didn’t leave Sarah (Linsey Godfrey). Sarah left Xander. We’re not saying he didn’t deserve it. But we are saying that’s why Xander’s feelings for her haven’t gone away. He told Marlena (Deidre Hall) as much. Xander said he will always love Sarah and that she is the only woman for him. But he’s accepted that they’re over. That’s what he says, anyway. Did Marlena look like she believed him? We know we didn’t.
Not Feeling It
We did, however, believe Xander when he said a big attraction to his affair with Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) is that she’s Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) ex. Since Brady is currently sleeping with Sarah, Xander figures rubbing his relationship with Kristen in Brady’s face will be most satisfying. But what if there is something even more satisfying that Xander can do to take advantage of the situation?
Let’s Make a Deal
What if Xander makes a deal with Brady? He’ll get Kristen to agree with Brady about Rachel’s (Lorelei Olivia Mote) psychiatric care — which the child desperately needs, as she is a loony, little psycho and her mom is currently doing nothing to rein that in, not to mention actively going against the professional suggestions of Marlena — in exchange for Brady breaking up with Sarah. Brady will, most likely, get all self-righteous and refuse. So Xander will then go to Sarah and make it sound like this is Kristen’s idea… and Brady is refusing to spare Sarah’s feelings. Sarah will then get self-righteous and break up with Brady. Isn’t it fun to use good people’s impulses against them? Especially if it gets you what you want.
