On the June 15 episode of Days of our Lives, Cat called EJ out for kissing her right after they both saw Belle kissing Chad on TV. EJ later told Marlena that it may have bothered him a little, but hey, he’s totes into Cat now. If this is the beginning of a love quadrangle, then we are here for it!
Key Takeaways:
- EJ misses Belle
- Chad misses Cat
- These brothers are with the wrong women – yay!
Breakup Blues
EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) and Belle (Martha Madison) were the surprise couple Salem needed. Yet, they inevitably broke up. EJ behaved as EJ tends to, and Belle acted as if she didn’t know that and dumped him. We get it. It makes sense. But we miss it. And we miss them. And so, obviously, does EJ. He pretended not to be affected by the sight of Belle kissing Chad (Conner Floyd), but we all know he was. Even Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) knew. It was a handy excuse to keep from going further with EJ, when she was really just playing him for Rafe (Galen Gering).
Court Order
Chad and Cat only broke up because Thomas (then Cary Christopher, now Alexander Elijah Bond) threw a fit and announced that he wanted to live with Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) and Jack (Matthew Ashford), and his grandparents were willing to go along with it, too, unless their son-in-law promised to stay away from the woman who’d impersonated their dead daughter. (Jennifer and Jack have every right to despise Cat, but letting Thomas control his dad’s life is… less than optimal. Not for Chad, but for Thomas. From such spoiling are horrible, spoiled brats made.) The point is, Belle is Chad’s rebound. And everybody knows it.
Super Soap Stuff
Two brothers? Two women? The wrong partners? Yes, please. This is classic soap, especially since no one is deliberately with the wrong person, and they’re doing their best to pretend they are with the right one. No one is lying. Except to themselves. The best kind of soap lying!
