On the July 7 episode of Days of our Lives, Stephanie and Chanel had a good old time ragging on Joy and how much they hate her. All of which was really out of proportion with anything Joy has actually done.

Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) didn’t tell Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) she was pregnant because she didn’t want to hurt his relationship with Stephanie (Abigail Klein). Joy didn’t tell Alex she’d given birth to Kelsey — who, before taking her Daddy’s last name, must have been Kelsey… Wesley (that, as the young people say, is a choice) — because she didn’t want to hurt his relationship with Stephanie. Joy finally told Alex about Kelsey and asked if he wanted to be a part of his daughter’s life. Alex said he did. Stephanie said she supported him. Now Stephanie is pissed off.

Stephanie doesn’t like that Joy called Alex about Kelsey’s medical insurance. Stephanie doesn’t like that Joy called Alex about needing her tire changed. (Joy claimed she was a New York City girl and didn’t know how. If she were really a New York City girl, she wouldn’t even know how to drive.) Alex saw how pissed Stephanie was, so he told Joy very firmly not to call him again unless it was for Kelsey. Like the medical insurance. And Kelsey is stuck by the side of the road. So… the same reasons she’d already called him for. That was pointless.
Runner Up
Chanel (Raven Bowens, who is DAYS’ performer of the month for June 2026) is furious that Joy is back in town, too. Because Joy once almost hooked up with Johnny (Carson Boatman). Chanel isn’t exactly pure as the driven snow. Hey, remember when she married Xander (Paul Telfer) in order to extort her mom? Yeah. She expects to be forgiven for her youthful indiscretions. But Joy shall be judged guilty forever. That’s some awesome sisterhood there, ladies.
