On the April 22 episode of Days of our Lives, Kristen and Lani caught up on what’s been going on in their lives since they last saw each other. Once upon a time, they were “sisters.” As in nuns. In a convent. Now they have a chance to become as close as sisters. Which is good for them. And for us.

Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and Lani (Sal Stowers) were certainly an odd couple of friends the first time around. And we’re here for the second act. They manage to listen to each other without (much) judgment, offer advice that might actually be productive, and support each other when things don’t go their way. Kristen has been isolated for too long. Kristen has been fighting on her own for too long. A gal pal is just what the doctor ordered.
The Worst Witch
Lani loves Kristen. And she wants to be there for her. But she can also tell Kristen when she’s about to go over the edge. Kristen could use that. Usually, Kristen assumes her detractors hate her and want what’s worst for her. Which is, usually, true. If Lani has something to say, Kristen might actually listen. And save Kristen… from herself.
Reverse Uno
And Kristen could be good for Lani, too. Lani tends to get a little holier-than-thou. She forgets that she’s a killer. As is her sister, Chanel (Raven Bowens). And their mom, Paulina (Jackée Harry), has pulled a massive amount of strings to protect them both from paying for their actions. Although Lani ultimately came forward and served a stint in prison. The point is, no one in her inner circle is a saint. Hanging with Kristen should remind Lani that if she cuts all those folks slack, she should extend the same courtesy to others.
