On the August 10 episode of Days of our Lives, Stephanie insisted she move out of their apartment so that Alex could take care of Kelsey there, then fretted to Jada about what might happen if Alex had to choose between Stephanie and Kelsey. Meanwhile, Chanel warned Alex not to let Joy ruin his marriage as she did hers. Here is what we’d like to see moving forward in Salem.
Key Takeaways
- Stephanie and Chanel are convinced Joy wants Alex.
- What if Joy starts dating someone else?
- Will Stephanie and Alex end up heartbroken?
Stephanie’s Personal Experience
Stephanie (Abigail Klein) played martyr and told Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) to take Kelsey to their apartment — she’d move out. (Why is their apartment a better place to take Kelsey? Not only is it likely not baby-proofed, but it’s an unfamiliar place for Kelsey. Wouldn’t she be happier at home where she is comfortable?)
But what Stephanie is really worried about is that Alex will leave her for Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins). Because it’s so obvious that Joy thinks of nothing but Alex from morning till night.
Is Joy Really The Other Woman?
Stephanie may claim she sees it. Chanel (Raven Bowens) may claim she sees it. We don’t see it. All we’ve seen so far is a young woman who is thrilled to not be doing the parenting thing all on her own anymore. Sure, she’s leaning on Alex — but as a dad, not a partner.
The story we’d like to see is one where Joy has no interest in a romantic relationship with Alex at all. She knows she deserves more than a guy whose in love with another woman. We want to see Joy start dating something — anyone. And then watch Alex and Stephanie freak out.
Alex and Stephanie’s Real Problem
We want to see Alex and Stephanie unable to get it through their heads that Joy doesn’t want Alex. Because not only would his ego never be able to survive it, neither would Stephanie’s.
Remember when she was unsure about her relationship with Alex following her kidnapping? Stephanie’s love for Alex flared up when she decided Joy wanted what Stephanie had. If that isn’t the case, they’ll both have to face that their relationship is based on… nothing much. And neither wants to do that. They’d rather focus on Joy than on themselves.
