The DAYS recap for Wednesday, November 2, 2022, proves that seeing, or, in this case, hearing, is believing. If only what the person overheard wasn’t so damned disillusioning.
DAYS Recap Highlights
In this episode, an eavesdropping Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) learned that her big brother was indeed aligned with big bad Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk). In addition, Gabi Hernandez No Longer DiMera (Camila Banus) smelled a big old rat, Alexander Neil Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) made a big ask of Nicole Walker Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan), and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) seemed poised to reveal a big secret to Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin). Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Days of our Lives Recap: Rule Of Thumb
On her first day on the job, Wendy hit paydirt — much to her chagrin. Inside the office that she was standing outside of, Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) and Kristen were having quite the conversation…and by conversation, we mean difference of opinion…and by difference of opinion, we mean arguing.
As Kristen saw it, Li owed her a massive favor, and she’d come to collect. Her ask: offer Chloe an executive position at DiMera Enterprises and get her out of the Basic Black office so her and Brady’s paths won’t cross on a daily basis.
Li said no, Kristen insisted, insinuations and insults were hurled, and threats were made. What would Gabi think if she were to find out that her intended “aversion-therapied the love of her life into hating her,” Kristen wondered? Surely that would put her off the idea of going through with their upcoming wedding, no?
Probably, agreed Li. But, should Kristen expose him, he’d happily expose her in turn, plus — and this is where Li got loud enough for a straining Wendy to hear him loud and clear — he’d seen to it that Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) was relocated to parts known only to him. Kristen could put that in her pipe and smoke it!
Unluckily for Li, Kristen was not to be deterred. She’d set her mind to him extending that job offer to her rival, and she expected him to do it. As per usual, Kristen got her way.
DOOL Recap: Boy Interrupted
Speaking of Kristen…Chloe’s still having trouble wrapping her head around Brady, allowing the vile, “kidnapping, murdering, mask-wearing sociopath,” to move in with him into the townhouse that he shares with his father and stepmother, two people whose seething hatred of Kristen is matched only by Chloe’s.
He has his reasons, Brady swears to Chloe, and after pondering the consequences for a few seconds, he resolves to tell her the truth. Unfortunately, this is a soap opera, so the conversation was halted by the arrivals of Alex, Nicole, and Eric.
DAYS Recap: Sex Sells
Alex has hit upon an ingenuous avenue to relaunching Bella magazine: put former cover girl Nicole on the cover. And sure, aside from that one recent jaunt back into the fray, Nicole hasn’t modeled for a decade or two, and yes, Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) hates her guts and probably wouldn’t be too thrilled with the plan, but so what? How could they go wrong?
Well, it turns out that they could go wrong by pairing Nicole opposite Brady who is neither a model nor interested in being one; plus, despite being former marrieds who we were assured once upon a time were the loves of each other’s lives, Brady and Nicole no longer have any chemistry together. None, nada, zip.
But you know who Nicole does have chemistry with? Eric, of course. That’s a fact that Alex realizes, and he has another brain blast — Nicole and Eric should grace the magazine’s front page!
Days of our Live Recap: Suspicious Mind
After catching sight of the two looking all conspiratorial, Gabi corners Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and probes him as to his and Wendy’s relationship. When Johnny lies that he’s romantically pursuing her would-be-sister-in-law, Gabi calls bull. Still, she doesn’t exactly get any reassuring answers.
DOOL Recap: Peas In A Pod
Thanks to motormouth Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu), Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) was left steaming over the fact that Nicole was once again being photographed by her ex-husband. If it makes him feel any better, Jada proffered, she’s not exactly feeling the situation either; it did not.
