The DAYS recap for Wednesday, December 28, 2022, sees several characters being put on the spot and their respective relationships being put under the microscope.

In this episode, Operation “Get Rachel” is put into effect. Elsewhere, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) has to justify involving herself with Stefan O. DiMera (Brandon Barash), Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) demands some reassurances, and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) is forced to confront his (almost) bachelor status. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Days of our Lives Recap: Ready, Set, Kidnap!
Now that he’s agreed to stage his daughter’s kidnapping, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) wonders just how he and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) will pull it off…luckily Eric has a solid game plan. Unluckily for Brady, it does require him to escort Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) to Li and Gabi’s (Camila Banus) wedding. Ick!
Yuck! He doesn’t want to…but he will. Anything to get out from under that witch’s thumb and to ensure his loved one’s safety. For her part, Kristen is delighted to be the candy on Brady’s arm.

DOOL Recap: The Lady Doth Protest Too Much
It’s been a whirlwind of activity since Chloe and Stefan blew into the Big Apple. Operas every night, big meals with Chloe’s mom, sister, and son, and even that dashing Mike Horton who seems to have eyes for Nancy Miller (Patrika Darbo).
But of course, the only thing on everyone’s mind — whether or not they admit it — is what exactly does Chloe think she’s doing? Nancy can kind of sort of understand her not wanting to sit around and moon over Brady, but to turn back to Stefan, the man who hurt her so terribly in the not-too-distant past? That boggles the mind.
Wouldn’t Chloe much rather skip heading to Miami with that particular ex and instead head back to Salem to reunite with the one that Nancy actually likes in a style reminiscent of When Harry Met Sally? No? She wouldn’t? What Chloe really wants is to be with Stefan? Okay, if that is what she truly wants.
DAYS Recap: Get It Off Your Chest
Li might be living the dream, but he’s succumbing to nightmares. And on the day of this wedding no less! Compounding the issue was Kristen’s sudden appearance at his door, which forced him to admit that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) were well aware of Stefan’s conditioning.
And while Johnny and Wendy had spent the morning resolving to keep their mouths firmly shut and to let the ceremony proceed without interruption, when Li paid the former a visit and practically demanded his promise of silence, what he received was the suggestion that he fess up and face the consequences. Li did not feel like obliging.
DOOL Recap: Plus One
Though he used his morning to give Gabi the third degree about whether or not Li is really the man for her, Rafe refused to allow his little sister to pry into his own personal affairs…especially when it comes to one Ms. Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) whom Rafe absolutely does not have a big ole crush on and want to hang out with all the time. And he most certainly does not want to ask her to attend Gabi’s wedding as his date…unless that’s something that Jada would be interested in. She would? Well, isn’t that dandy!
