On today’s Days of our Lives, Nicole Walker learned that she was with child which was a double blessing — miracle baby and she’d staved off the menopause — and a curse considering she has no idea who the father is.

In addition, Steve (Stephen Nichols) begrudgingly brings Harris (Steve Burton) aboard the mission to rescue Roman’s wife while Kate (Lauren Koslow) herself arranged a face-to-face with the person responsible for her predicament. Elsewhere, Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) issued yet another apology and made a convincing plea. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Nicole Walker Gets Quite The Diagnosis
At the DiMera manse, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) doubled over in pain and begged Gabi (Camila Banus) to lend her some assistance, but Gabi wasn’t buying the show. “Meryl Streep you ain’t!”
Between the racking sobs brought on by the cramps, Nicole admonished Gabi for insulting her while she was in pain, while Gabi continued to hedge. After all, Nicole could have just been trying to get Gabi distracted, to let her guard down so she’d forget about sending her damning evaluation of EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) to the DiMera Enterprises board.

Still, Nicole whined, and still, Gabi pussyfooted. Nicole cried out that she was “really sick,” and finally Gabi gave in and rushed her to nearby University Hospital.
After getting over the shock of seeing Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) in the flesh, Nicole relayed her painful cramps and dismissed the notion that it was at all related to her period…which was late…quite late.
Nicole was then suddenly seized by a hot flash, and Kayla made a preliminary guess — make that diagnosis — of perimenopause. Super Doc, however, was way off the mark. Nicole was actually pregnant!
DAYS Recap: Nicole Walker’s Past And Present Collide
Outside the Brady Pub, EJ barred Eric’s (Greg Vaughan) entry and spat that the two of them had a few things that they needed to get straight, namely whether or not Eric bedded Nicole.
When Eric hissed that “yeah, I did have sex with your girlfriend,” EJ decked him and let him know all about his sanctimonious self. “Such bloody hypocrites, you Bradys. Sneering at anyone who doesn’t share your middle-class values, your Catholic piety, when all the while, you’re just as carnal corrupt as the rest of us.”
Eric roared that EJ needed to shut up and let him explain, then proceeded to recall how he and Nicole had been high on those tainted biscuits during their dalliance. And as for the reason for their silence, they’d kept quiet because they were both sure that “insecure ass” EJ would blow it all out of proportion.

DOOL Recap: Greece Up
In Greece, Steve was chagrined to have his and Chad’s (Billy Flynn) brainstorming session interrupted and further chagrined to find that it was Harris doing the interrupting and doing so because he’d been conscripted by Andrew (Colton Little) into joining the hunt for Kate.
While Chad tried to ease the tension between the men, Steve groused about Harris’s recent shortcomings, not the least of which was not immediately informing all and sundry that Bo (Peter Reckell) was alive.
Steve then stomped his foot and refused to have Harris on his team, prompting Chad to pointedly point out that Harris, with his specialized training, might be their only hope.
Opposite this, pseudo-prisoner Kate was served a bowl of gruel which she rejected on principle and then promptly binned. Finally tiring of the lackey giving her grief — and parading the ring he’d acquired from her the day previous — Kate grabbed him and threatened to cut off his finger if he didn’t arrange an audience with his boss.
Properly motivated, said lackey did just that. And when the figure of her captor came into view, Kate couldn’t believe her eyes!
Days of our Lives Recap: Forgive And Forget
Back in Salem, just prior to attending to Nicole, Kayla had to first wrestle her job back from that weaselly Seth Burns –who finally cowed when Stephanie threatened to “unleash a viral PR campaign against you and this hospital from which you will never recover” — and suffer through an awkward run-in with Alex who was full of profuse apologies for keeping Steph from coming to her deathbed. Luckily Kayla isn’t actually dead, so it’s all good. Also, she appreciated and accepted Alex’s apology.
Once Kayla took off to do some long overdue doctoring, Alex revealed to Steph that he’d started therapy with Marlena (Deidre Hall). What’s more, he doesn’t expect her to so easily let him off the hook. “The new Alex is learning that, just because I have remorse for all of my actions, it doesn’t mean that the people I hurt need to forgive me.”
That said, Alex did have a favor to ask Steph. Would she join him at his upcoming business meeting? He could really use a “world-class communications expert” by his side.
After eliciting a promise that his request was legit and not some attempt to either get her back on his side or back into his bed, Steph agreed.
