From the second Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) arrived in Salem, she has been playing people, first as fake Abigail, and now as an undercover ISA agent.
No one other than Rafe (Galen Gering) knows who Cat really is or that she has a secret past with EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel). The more EJ wants to look into that past, though, the more Cat gets nervous. It also raised red flags with Rafe, who warned her not to fall for EJ.
The problem is that Cat seems to have done just that. Although she keeps putting on a front with Rafe, when Cat and EJ are together, she does appear to have real feelings for him. However, Cat also knows she has a mission, and EJ is at its center.
Cat has been in this position before with Chad (then-Billy Flynn). Even though she was pretending to be Abigail to save her mother from Clyde (James Read), Cat fell for Chad and developed real feelings for him.
