Ever since Nicole broke Brady’s heart on Days of Our Lives (DOOL), he’s been almost unrecognizable — but will this latest loss finally bring the old Brady back?
After Nicole (Arianne Zucker) cheated on him with his own brother (ok, stepbrother), Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) been on a dark path. To be fair, she was just the last in a long line of betrayals he’d been forced to endure and his heart just couldn’t take being broken one more time. So, he walled it up and drowned his sorrows.
Unfortunately for recovering addict Brady, that wasn’t exactly to most ideal way deal with his pain. It made him desperate and insecure — and vulnerable to the Victor’s (John Aniston) manipulations.
It took two seconds for Victor to realize Brady had fallen off the wagon, and while he did encourage him to go to meetings and stop drinking, he didn’t hesitate to use this problem to his advantage. When Eve (Kassie DePaiva) arrived on the scene, he forced him to prove himself by marrying her and stealing back Basic Black.
What neither of them counted on was Brady falling for the she-devil for real.
While Brady’s been walking a fine line, making it hard to tell if he really and truly cares for Eve or was purely using her, today’s fallout from the wedding disaster seems to have been a turning point. Faced with losing her, Brady pulled out all the stops.

We’ve seen Brady slowly realizing that Eve isn’t a villainess but rather a flawed human being who’s experienced pain on a grander scale than he can ever imagine. She lost a child, after all.
Still, she showed a capacity for love and understanding. He seemed intrigued by that. And the way she looked out for his son (her nephew) warmed his heart.
So, when Eve’s latest pain was by his own hand, it truly affected him. Suddenly there was a situation he couldn’t charm his way out of. He was forced to suffer real consequences for his actions and for the pain he was the one causing — this time. And Eve let him know it.
It was a tough look in the mirror for Brady, but was it enough to send him to rock bottom? Could we now see the Brady we used to admire begin to put the pieces of his life back together to win back Eve? And if he does — will she even take him back? Should she? Stay tuned.
