It’s been quite a year for veteran soap star Kassie DePaiva.
The actress, who is returning to her role as Eve Larson later this year on Days of Our Lives (DOOL), was diagnosed with cancer in 2016 and began an intense course of treatment that left her unable to re-join the soap earlier as previously planned.
In February, DePaiva announced she was cancer-free and set out on reclaiming her life and career.

Today, the actress commemorated starting treatment exactly one year ago by tweeting a pic of herself with hospital staff members who she credits with saving her life.
