In the Thursday, March 13 episode of Days of Our Lives, it seemed like Johnny’s concerns, threats, and accusations may have penetrated EJ’s once impenetrable walls. Instead, EJ showed vulnerability and made a smart move. Unfortunately, these actions are too late. Somebody will get their payback sooner rather than later.
EJ’s Delusional Ways
EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) really thought that injecting Rachel Blake (Ros Gentle) with the CRS-17 would take care of everybody’s problems. At first, he didn’t even care about the effects or the consequences. It didn’t matter to him that the Woman in White was already a little bit loony. He wanted to do even worse to her. Sure, he realized he would lose Kristen’s (Stacy Haiduk) loyalty, but self-preservation initially won out.
Then he talked to Johnny (Carson Boatman), who told his dad that he was the one responsible for the disastrous lunch with Mrs. Choi (Shi Ne Nielson). EJ blamed Jada (Elia Cantu) and Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) and looked shocked when his son blamed him. EJ is a bit delusional about his own villainous ways. He thinks he could do damage control with Mrs. Choi, but he can’t. It’s not possible.

However, the conversation with EJ and Johnny turned to the first time EJ replaced Rafe (Galen Gering) with Arnold Feniger (also Galen Gering). He said he didn’t think of all the scenarios that would happen — specifically Arnold sleeping with Sami (Alison Sweeney). It was rape, plain and simple. EJ couldn’t tell Johnny that he did his best to prevent that from happening to Jada, even though there were a couple of nonconsensual kisses.
Johnny left the conversation contemplating what his dad told him. While he undoubtedly couldn’t excuse what his dad did, it was the first time he really heard his dad talk about what happened and sound sorry for the hell that he brought on Sami. Unfortunately for EJ, Johnny’s about to learn a whole different truth, thanks to Roman (Josh Taylor).
Meanwhile, EJ decided to put the syringe away. Crisis averted, for now. It looked like the little conscience that he has worked in Rachel’s favor.

Damage Control
Paulina (Jackée Harry) met with Amy Choi. Of course, the mayor thought she could do damage control to counter the disastrous lunch. She wanted to ensure Mrs. Choi knew Johnny and Chanel (Raven Bowens) were a viable couple to adopt Tate (Leo Howard) and Sophia’s (Rachel Boyd) baby.
Mrs. Choi had no problem with Chanel or Johnny. But she said she couldn’t allow them to adopt if EJ would be in that child’s life. In response, Paulina said she would ensure that EJ was completely out of the equation.
Should we add Paulina to the list of EJ’s biggest threats?
