Currently, Salem, USA is drowning in negative energy with a rampant drug epidemic, opiate overdoses, houses burning down, cop shootings, and kidnappings plaguing the town. Thankfully, happiness and joy are also present in the form of the Carvers. The Carver family celebrated all their recent wins in the Wednesday, March 13, 2024 episode of Days of Our Lives. There’s always one thing to remember: in the universe of soaps, happiness is fleeting. How long is their joy going to last?

The Carvers: On a Roll

The Carver/Price family complete with Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) gathered at the hospital to celebrate Paulina’s sudden healing. She’s no longer in heart failure and only Paulina (Jackée Harry) and Abe (James Reynolds) were aware that an angelic appearance from Abe’s late wife Lexie was the miracle they needed. Somehow, Lexie’s divine presence and essence healed Paulina’s failing heart. And on top of that, she helped bring Abe’s memories rushing back. Once again, Renee Jones (ex-Lexie) didn’t return for this appearance so viewers only heard a voice and saw a stand-in.

In addition to celebrating Paulina and Abe’s good news, the family took the time to recognize Johnny’s (Carson Boatman) and Chanel’s (Raven Bowens) recent wedding. So far, the event’s been lost in the shuffle of surgeries and emergencies. It’s important to remember that these two are starting a new life together. Fortunately, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) reached out to them and offered the Horton cabin for their honeymoon, which was a welcome moment.

Furthermore, Lani and Eli had their things to celebrate. Obviously, Lani’s release from prison was the biggest deal, considering she never should have spent so much time behind bars. Now she can help Eli care for their twins Jules and Carver, which will need to happen now that Eli’s about to accept a job that’ll take their little family to Washington D.C.

What was also great was that Lani and Abe got to share an amazing moment now that he has his memories back. He assured her that he would always be her dad. It was probably the episode’s most touching moment.

What Fresh Hell Is Next

The Carvers and the Prices may be on a happiness roll, but this “roll” will be temporary. After all, Lani and Eli aren’t sticking around Salem. Paulina, Abe, and everyone will be sad to say goodbye to these characters who are integral to the Carvers, Prices, and Horton families.

Also, Johnny and Chanel are headed for the Horton Cabin where a lot of drama and destruction goes on. Will their honeymoon experience go smoothly? Or will they end up fighting for their lives like so many other Salem citizens who visit there?

Finally, will Paulina remain mayor of Salem or will Abe take his job back? Or will Salem become a two-mayor town? It might take a power couple to help bring a stop to Clyde Weston’s (James Read) drug trade. (Jackée Harry talks about the real reason she’s on DAYS)
