On Days of Our Lives, Lani and Eli did everything backwards. They were anticipating pushing a baby carriage, with no thought of marriage… and certainly nothing about love.
Still, life doesn’t go according to plan, even when the plan doesn’t follow a traditional path. Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli’s (Lamon Archey) baby was stillborn, and there didn’t seem to be any reason for the two of them to have anything to do with each other anymore.
But is this the end? Should Lani and Eli maybe consider a relationship in the right order this time? Eli certainly seems to want one, and here’s what over 7,000 viewers had to say.
Give It a Shot
There’s no reason not to, 70% of you muse. The people they were dating when Eli and Lani slept together have moved on – or at least, are too bitter to even consider giving them another chance – so that option is out.
Also, they’re both relatively nice – if pretty boring – people. They’re compatible, and now they have their grief over baby David to tie them together. It’s not much, but it’s something.

Dull as Dirt
No, DAYS, 28% of the audience sighs, taking two boring people and putting them together does not, as a matter of fact, make them more interesting… either individually or apart.
The only thing Eli and Lani had in common was an ill-advised one-night stand and a tragically lost pregnancy. That’s not a good basis for a relationship. After what happened with baby David, Lani and Eli should barely be able to stand the sight of each other, much less be giving love a shot.

There’s also a tiny 1% of you who want something – anything – different than Eli and Lani becoming a couple. Plenty of fish in the sea. They should both go find themselves one.
