They say all good things must come to end… and while Vivian may not be ‘good,’ Days of Our Lives fans love Louise Sorel, and are now losing the queen of witty retorts and schemes.
According to published reports, the veteran actress is going out in a splashy way. It also looks like if she’s put in a coffin, this time will be for real as she’s killed during an argument.
But will the person be forced to pay for getting rid of the woman who caused so much heartache for so many? Time will tell.
It’s a fitting end for the character, but still, it will be hard to say goodbye. Sorel first joined DAYS back in 1992 and was a worthy foil for so many of the powerful men on the show.
Both Stefano (the late Joe Mascolo) and Victor (John Aniston) battled her and barely survived.
But perhaps her favorite foil was Carly Manning (Crystal Chappell), whom she tortured, literally, by burying her alive. Their battles were epic and legendary — even more so than her going toe-to-toe with Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) and Kate (Lauren Koslow).
DAYS isn’t the only soap lucky enough to be graced by Sorel’s incredible talent. She wowed audiences of Santa Barbara with her portrayal of Augusta Lockridge — equally dynamic to Vivian but only slightly less lethal. She went to the right side of the law as Judith on One Life To Live.
She was also on Port Charles and Passions, as well as the nighttime soap, Knots Landing, along with countless other appearances on primetime over her long and storied career.
Is there any chance she could return to Salem one day in the future? Well, this is DAYS, so never say never.
Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
