The Bold and the Beautiful made a shocking decision about a character who wasn’t on the screen and now, the actress who played that role is speaking out. Linsey Godfrey (Sarah, Days of Our Lives) wants her former show to know exactly how she feels!
In returning the character of Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) to the canvas, BB made the choice to write out the part of Caroline (played by Godfrey) by killing her off. The decision brings a vulnerable single dad to the canvas, adding fuel to the on-going story about baby Beth being stolen at birth and given to an unsuspecting Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
Godfrey took to social media to share her thoughts on her former character going to that great soap in the sky.
“It appears it’s time to say goodbye to our Caroline Spencer,” Godfrey posted. “I just want to first say a huge thank you to Brad Bell [executive producer/head writer] and the entire Bold and Beautiful family. I truly adored every aspect of the wacky, feisty, sassy Caroline.”
The actress encouraged B&B fans to stick around watching that show and wants Caroline fans to know that she “has a brunette doctor doppelganger over in Salem…”
Characters on BB don’t come back from the dead, Taylor Hayes Forrester (Hunter Tylo) being a rare exception like they do on DAYS. Still, Caroline does come from a family of twins. Her aunt Caroline (Joanna Johnson) for whom Godfrey’s character was named was the twin sister of Karen (also played by Johnson).
For now, fans can see Godfrey as Sarah on DAYS, and watch how Caroline’s death affects the lives of her loved ones on BB!
