Abby shocked the heck out of Gabi by not pressing charges on Days of Our Lives, saying they both need to focus on family… so can she do the same and reunite with Chad?
That might be easier said than done. Not wanting to separate Gabi (Camila Banus) from her daughter is one thing. But, forgiving Chad (Billy Flynn) is another story for Abigail (Kate Mansi) because he was her husband… not just her best friend.
There was another level of trust that was broken. Chad was supposed to have her back — supposed to support her, according to Abby. But thinking she had another breakdown that resulted in a split personality wasn’t a huge stretch for Gabi to make Chad believe.
It wasn’t all that long ago that he had been fooled, and fooled badly, when he walked into the bedroom and found “Gabby” in bed with Stefan (Tyler Christopher)… an act that broke him.
That pain was brought up all over again when Chad thought Abby’s baby was fathered by Stefan.
Chad was ripe to be taken advantage of by Gabi, who planned her revenge perfectly. Abby was willing to listen to Gabi and heard the pain she caused her that motivated Gabi to wreck her life.
Will she give her former husband (and the love of her life) the same courtesy?

Chad was so desperate to save Abby, it blinded him to what he was doing to her daughter (who turned out to be his)… and to Abby by giving her to the man they both hated.
That will be the biggest hurdle for Chad to overcome but the first step is getting Abby to listen to where he was coming from.
The fact that she was able to hear Gabi and show some mercy is the first sign that there might be hope for Chad, too. The two still have a long road ahead of them, but at least there seems to be a ray of hope.
