There’s no question – 97% of you are missing the patch… and the guy underneath it. You fell in love with him in the 1980s when he went from Victor’s (John Aniston) thug who terrorized Hope (Kristian Alfonso) to romantic lead.
You missed him throughout the 1990s, when he “died” except that his coffin was switched at the last minute.
Steve wasn’t around to help Kayla raise Stephanie, but then he came back and they had another child, Joe, who’s in jail now.

But, uh, there’s Steve’s son Tripp (Lucas Adams). So, he’s in town, but Steve isn’t? That makes no sense. Bring back the man – no matter how many eyes he’s got!
Stay Away, Steve
Only 3% of the audience prefers him staying out of town. The guy has worn out his welcome. Even when he’s around, all he does is mumble about some case he’s got going on. When was the last time Steve drove story?
Ava (Tamra Braun)? Did anyone really like that? Even Tripp ended up spending more time with Kayla, both trying to set her up for murder, then befriending her. Jack (Matthew Ashford) is gone (but back soon), and Adrienne (Judi Evans) is rarely seen. Time to put a pin in the Johnson family and move on. Kayla can stay.
