Born Katharine Theresa Rose Morris, Kate Mansi was born in Calabassas, California on September 15, 1987 — which means she is turning the Big 3-0!
The former Days of Our Lives (DOOL) star wowed audiences in the role of Abby from 2010-2016, but before that she was wowing audiences as a dancer, which she trained for both in Los Angeles and New York. She joined the Pacific Festival Ballet when she was only 15 years of age.
But it didn’t take the middle child of this large Italian/Irish family long to get bitten by the acting bug in high school. Mansi then went on to study film and public relations at Malibu’s Pepperdine University.
In 2008, this special young woman traveled to the Dominican Republic and Haiti to volunteer with Orphanage Outreach. She then concentrated on her acting career, appearing in How I Met Your Mother before she won the role of Abby.
Since leaving her Emmy-winning role, Mansi has appeared in the movies Unwanted Guest with former daytimer Ted King (ex-Luis/Lorenzo, GH; ex-Tomas OLTL; ex-Danny Loving/The City), Boyfriend Killer with Patrick Muldoon (ex-Austin, DAYS), and an appearance on the TV show Small Shots.
