While Wally Kurth had already shared the news that fans had no need to worry — that Judi Evans would be coming back to Days of our Lives — there is another Salem player to thank for showing us photographic proof.
Judi Evans Back At DAYS
It was good pal Lauren Koslow (Kate) who shared a photo on her social media account that let us know that not only was Kurth (Justin) on target with his assessment but that it was happening sooner than anyone realized.
“@therealjudievans #backtoworkwego #days #dayslikethese #life #❤️ #friends #selfie,” wrote Koslow alongside a picture of the two longtime DAYS stars, who were among the other actors who returned to the set after having over two months off as the show shut down production to catch up since they’re so far ahead.
Of course, they are still eight months ahead, which means that Evans won’t be showing up onscreen until around September. That doesn’t mean she hasn’t been back in the interim — and could be seen onscreen at any point, either in more flashbacks as Adrienne or perhaps as her other character, Bonnie Lockhart.
Real Life and Reel Life
This also begs the question of just who the beloved star will be portraying on set this week — Adrienne or Bonnie? There are theories that Bonnie may have taken over Adrienne’s life once again and was the real victim in the horrible car accident that Will (Chandler Massey) has been doing time for but was actually caused by Maggie (Suzanne Rogers).
Either way, it’s very likely that Evans isn’t back for good, considering head writer Ron Carlivati explained that the actress has a fulltime job and they only get to use her during her time off from it.
But it’s a good bet being back has been a blessing for the star, who is still mourning the loss of her real-life son, Austin, and is also worried about a family member who is in need of prayers. Soap Hub hopes the prayers have helped. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
