Soap Hub wants to wish a very happy anniversary to one of soaps’ most legendary on-screen and off-screen couples. Days of Our Lives stars Bill and Susan Hayes celebrated 42 years of wedded bliss on Wednesday, while their Salem counterparts continue to thrive, as well.

The couple met on the DAYS set in 1970 when Bill was cast as Doug Williams, a new love interest for Susan’s Julie. The pair fell in love on the set and wed in 1974. While Bill and Susan have remained married ever since, Doug and Julie have had a more tumultuous time of things and wed twice.

The couple shared a picture of their anniversary dinner to social media yesterday, at Saddle Creek Lodge in Calabasas, CA.
