Let’s all agree that the Salem PD on Days of Our Lives isn’t exactly stellar. How many criminals are currently walking the streets, free as proverbial birds? And how many innocent people have they locked up only to eventually see the error of their ways?
Why, just last week, they had to admit that Sami (Alison Sweeney) wasn’t the one who shot Marlena (Deidre Hall)! And it’s not like the police figured it out – John (Drake Hogestyn) had to do the investigating for them!
So who can blame Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) for shouting, “frame-up!” when new evidence mysteriously appeared, suggesting he tried to kill Ciara (Victoria Konefal), after all?
The only question now is, who set Ben up? Here’s what almost 7,000 non-deputized detectives think.
Tripped Up
It had to have been Tripp (Lucas Adams), 78% of you argue. He had the motive – get Ciara over her hangup with Ben.
And he’s got the personality. Remember the schemer who first came to Salem and tried to frame Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) for murder? And, most importantly, the DAYS writers have made it clear they see Ben and Ciara as the One True Pairing.
Which means Tripp needs to get under that bus, and quickly. This kills two birds with one stone!

Hope and Change
It had to have been Hope (Kristian Alfonso), a smaller 12% is equally as certain. Tripp may be a schemer, but he doesn’t have the know-how to put together a frame-up good enough to fool the cops.
Hope does. And her motive is even stronger. Save her baby girl! Nothing beats Mama Love!
Shawn Done It
A tiny 4% is looking at Shawn, who could be protecting his sister, his daughter, and his mother by keeping Hope’s hands clean, while yet another 6% is thinking ‘Other.’ Hey, maybe Clyde (James Read) is really mad at his boy these days!
