The daily syndicated talk show The Real is about to give a whole new meaning to the term #ManCrushMonday. Today, a quartet of hunks, one from each of the four daytime soap operas, will appear on the syndicated talk show.
The Real Brings Soap Stars Together
Michael Mealor (Kyle, The Young and the Restless), Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter, The Bold and the Beautiful), Donnell Turner (Curtis, General Hospital), and Galen Gering (Rafe, Days of Our Lives) are set to guest on the yak fest to chat with the program’s hosts.
According to a show rep, the actors will appear in two segments consisting of interviews and a fun game! Currently, Mealor’s Kyle is still in the honeymoon phase of life with wife Lola (Sasha Calle) on YR. The couple recently believed they might be expecting a baby, but it turned out not to be the case.
Saint-Victor hasn’t tackled many big legal cases lately as BB’s Carter, but he’s been keeping his followers abreast of his life on social media.
Talk shows have long had a tradition of bringing on actors from daytime, thrilling both viewers at home and in-studio audiences. Donahue, Oprah, Live With Kelly and Ryan, and numerous others have often opened their doors to daytime stars.
Created by SallyAnn Salsano, The Real debuted in the summer of 2013 on FOX-owned markets. In 2015, the series became nationally syndicated. In the show’s fourth season, it started airing as a live television show, allowing for more topical issues to be discussed.
The Real is hosted by Adrienne Houghton, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, and Tamera Mowry-Housley. The hosts won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host in 2018. The program airs daily in syndication. Check local listings for the channel and airtime in your area.
