La, la, la, la…Days of Our Lives‘ Chad is skipping through Salem, believing pretty much anything Gabi and Kate tell him about how his wife, Abigail, is back to dressing up in black wigs, calling herself Gabby, and lusting after Stefan, the alleged father of her unborn child.
None of that is true. Not the alternate personality, not the love for Stefan (Tyler Christopher), not the baby belonging to Stefan.
Gabi (Camila Banus) set the whole thing up, and she blackmailed Kate (Lauren Koslow) into backing her up. And Chad (Billy Flynn) is falling for it hook, line, and sinker.
So, just how stupid is he? Over 3,000 viewers administer an IQ test.
Wise Up
Chad used to be smart and savvy. He was a wheeler-dealer businessman and a street-smart schemer, to boot. So where did that all go, 87% wonder?
Chad used to pull the cons, not fall for them. And he used to love and trust Abigail (Marci Miller), too. Why is he taking absolutely everyone’s word over hers? He grew up in Salem. Chad knows how this town rolls. There is ALWAYS a secret agenda. Especially when it gets in the way of True Love.

See No Evil, Hear No Evil
We know what’s going on behind the scenes, but Chad doesn’t, 12% of the audience points out.
He isn’t privy to Gabi talking to herself or her conversations with Kate. Last time, Chad believed his wife, and it ended with Gabi in prison…and Abigail in bed with Stefan. Chad has every right not to risk it happening again.
Seeing the best in the people you love while trying to protect your family are all good qualities. Chad shouldn’t be shamed for being a good person. He’s not stupid, he’s romantic. Though buying a clue would be a good use for all that DiMera money.
