On Days Of Our Lives, we’ve seen a lot of Marlena in the new year. Talking to other people… she’s helping Will (Chandler Massey) dig up dirt on Sonny’s (Freddie Smith) new husband, Leo (Greg Rikaart).
She’s listening to Hayley (Thia Megia) be cryptic about the deep, dark secret that prompted her to try and commit suicide.
And in a non-professional capacity, there’s Eric (Greg Vaughn) sniffling about Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) sleeping with Xander (Paul Telfer) to get back at him and Rex (Kyle Lowder).
So, Marlena (Deidre Hall) is in a lot of stories. She just doesn’t have one of her own. Should she? What almost 10,000 fans think:
Marlena should always be front and center in Salem, 41% of you insist. You’re frankly stunned there was even a show before she arrived in 1976, and while she was off the canvas from 1987 to 1991 and 2009 to 2011.
You’ve followed her romance with Don (Jed Allen). You followed her romance with both Romans (Wayne Northrop and Josh Taylor), and the one with John (Drake Hogysten). They finally tied the knot – again. Now let’s see what happens next!
Deidre Hall just had a big story, 30% of the audience reminds us. She got to be Marlena AND Hattie. There was her wedding, the controversy over Belle (Martha Madison) pulling the plug, and then Hattie marrying John – even though it was completely illegal – then refusing to give him a divorce.
Let someone else be on the front burner for a change. Take turns, kids!
As long as Deidre is on-screen, 28% of viewers are happy. She can be having sex on conference room tables, levitating in the air thanks to devil possession, killing off half the cast, or playing Grandma and listening to other character’s problems. It’s all Marlena to you, so it’s all good.
